The Backward Classes Welfare Department of West Bengal has published notification for OASIS Scholarship 2021-22. This scholarship is providing to SC, ST, and OBC candidates of West Bengal who are currently studying in class 9 to post-graduation.

Students can apply for this scholarship from the oasis portal (https://oasis.gov.in/). OASIS scholarship can be further divided into two types - Pre-Matric Scholarship and Post-Matric Scholarship. Students belonging to SC, ST, and OBC and currently studying in class 9 and class 10 can apply for the Pre-Matric Scholarship and the students who are currently studying in HS, UG, PG, Medical, Engineering, Pharmacy, B.Ed, M.Ed, Diploma, PTTI, Nursing, B.V.Sc, LLB courses, can apply for Post-Matric Scholarship.

WB OASIS Scholarship 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Following are the criteria for applying WB OASIS Scholarship 2021:-

1. The candidate must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
2. The candidate belonging to SC or ST or OBC category.
3. The annual family income of the candidates' doesn't exceed 2.5 lakhs per year (For OBC candidates 1 lakh per year).
4. The candidates who are currently studying in class 9th or 10th can apply for WB Oasis Pre-Matric Scholarship.
5. The candidates who are currently studying in class 11th or 12th, ITI, Polytechnic, Medical, Engineering, Undergraduate Degree, Postgraduate Degree, M.Phil, P.hD, LLB, B.Pharm, B. Sc Nursing, Hotel Management can apply for WB Oasis Post-Matric Scholarship. 

WB OASIS Scholarship 2021 Important Dates

The Backward Classes Welfare Department of West Bengal has published all the important dates related to Oasis Scholarship 2021, however, these dates are not permanent. The dates may change in some situations so, follow the website at regular intervals to keep you updated.

WB OASIS Scholarship 2021 Amount

The government of West Bengal provided this scholarship to eligible students for their higher education. Students will be selected for this scholarship based on their merit and financial conditions. Eligible students can get the money to their bank account directly.

For Class IX & X (Pre-Matric):

Class 9th and 10th Day Scholar students will get Rs 150 per month and Hosteller will receive Rs 750 per month for 10 months as the scholarship amount.

Pre-Matric Adhoc grant for Day-Scholars Rs. 750 and for Hosteller Rs. 1000 per year.

For UG & PG Students (Post-Matric):

Post Matric Engineering / Medical / B.Sc (Agriculture) / LLM / M.Phil / PhD students will receive Rs. 1200 (for Hosteller) or Rs. 550 (for Day Scholar) per month.

Post Matric B.Sc Nursing / B.Pharm / LLB / Postgraduate / Hotel Management students will receive Rs. 820 (for Hosteller) or Rs. 530 (for Day Scholar) per month on the bank account.

Post Matric Scholarship for Undergraduate (Honours) students will receive Rs 750 (for Hosteller) or Rs. 300 (for Day Scholar) per month.

For Diploma Students (Post-Matric):

Students who are currently studying in Polytechnics / ITI / Class 11 or 12th will get Rs. 750 (for Hosteller) or Rs. 230 (for Day Scholar) as the scholarship amount per month.

WB OASIS Scholarship 2021 Application Process

Now we will discuss the application process for Fresh and Renewal Students.

Fresh Application: 

Step1: Visit official website (https://oasis.gov.in/)

Step2: Click on the Student Registration tab.

Step3: Now choose a district from the list where your institution is located. If you are studying outside West Bengal then choose the district of your permanent address. Then click on submit.

Step4: Now you have to enter your name, father name, gender, and computerized caste certificate number(Manual certificate number will not be accepted). After fill up, all the details click on submit.

Step5: Now on the next page you have to submit some basic details like date of birth, sub-caste, institution name, phone number, email, etc. Fill the form very carefully and upload a photo and then click on submit.

Step6: Now your registration is complete. A computer-generated acknowledgment slip will be ready to download which contains your user id and password for further use. Download and print this slip.

Step7: Now again visit the official website and click on the registered student's login tab. Then enter your user id, password, and district mention in the acknowledgment slip then click on login.

Step8: After successful login, you have to complete all the remaining steps in the Application Form. Click on the Further Details button and fill in all the required information and save it.

Step9: In the next step add your bank details and click on verify and lock option. After clicking on verify and lock you can not edit your application.

Step10: Now your application is complete. Now download and print the application form.

Now sign on to the printed application form and add a photocopy of required documents and submit it to the competent authority.

Renewal Application:

Step1: Visit official website (https://oasis.gov.in/)

Step2: Click on Renew Scholarship and then and your user id, password, and district, and then click login.

Step3: Check all details which you provided in the previous year. If you want to update your information just update and save it.

Step4: Now click on the RENEW APPLICATION and then click on the Renew and Lock Application button. Download the Application Form, print it out.

Step5: Now sign on to the printed application form and add a photocopy of required documents and submit it to the competent authority.

Required Documents:

1. Attested copy of the caste certificate.
2. Attested copy of mark sheet of the last examination passed.
3. The first page of the bank passbook
4. Admission / Fees receipt of the respective year.
5. Hostel fees receipt (If applicable)
6. Income Certificate.

Submit the Application Form:

After completing all the above steps submit the application form along with all the required documents to your institution or submit it to your concerned BDO Office (for Block Area), PO cum DWO / DWO (for Municipality and Corporation area) on or before February 2022.

WB OASIS Scholarship 2021 - Track Application Status

1. Visit Official Website (https://oasis.gov.in/)
2. Click on Track An Application
3. Select District where your institution is located.
4. Now enter user id and select District and season and then click on submit.
5. You can see your application status now.

After successful verification of all the documents for both Fresh and Renewal Students, the scholarship amount will be credited to the Bank account. It will take approx 6 to 8 months.
