Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship 2021 Eligibility Criteria

The complete eligibility criteria for Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means (SVMCM) Scholarship are described below.

HS Student:

The students who passed Madhyamik Examination in 2021 with at least 60% marks and took admission in Higher Secondary (10+2) Course in Arts / Science / Commerce can apply for Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means (SVMCM) Scholarship.

Undergraduate Student:

The students who took admission in the first year of an undergraduate course in the season 2021-22 in Engineering / Medical / General Education / GNM Nursing / Para Medical Diploma Course after passing HS with 60% aggregate (Best Of Five) in the year 2021 or 2020 are eligible to apply for Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means (SVMCM) Scholarship.

The students who took admission in the second year of an undergraduate course in Engineering on a Lateral Entry basis after passing out diploma course with 75% marks are also eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Diploma Student:

The Student who took admission on the first year Diploma (Polytechnic) course after passing the Madhyamik Examination or took admission on the 2nd year Diploma (Polytechnic) on a Lateral Entry basis after passing VOCLET Exam can apply for Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means (SVMCM) Scholarship. The students need 60% marks in the qualifying examination to applying for this scholarship.

Postgraduate Student:

Students who took admission on the first year Post-graduation course in the year 2021 can apply for Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means (SVMCM) Scholarship. Candidate must obtain 53% marks In ug level for honors course or 55% marks for an engineering graduate to apply.

Kanyashree recipients with valid sanctioned K2 ID pursuing Post Graduate courses in Science, Arts, and Commerce stream from Universities of this State in regular mode (not distance) must obtain at graduation level 45% marks in aggregate from Institutions of this State in the year 2021 are eligible to apply. There is no need to submit an income certificate and income affidavit in respect of the Kanayashree (K3) applicant. If you don’t have your K2 Id number you can also apply for this scholarship.

Annual Family Income Limit:

The family income of students doesn't exceed 2.5 lakhs per annum.

Note: If a dropout applicant of the previous year selects 2020 as the Year of Last Qualifying Exam, then an extra field will appear. The applicant has to enter a valid reason in that field for not applying for the SVMCM Scholarship in 2020.

The application process is fully online. Follow the below step to apply. You can apply till 15th February 2022.

Step1: Visit the official website (www.svmcm.wbhed.gov.in). Now click on Register Here Button.

Step2: Now an information page will open. Read the information very carefully. After that tick on the box and click on Proceed For Registration Button.

Step3: Now from the Registration category chose the correct Directorate as per your current course and then click on the  Apply for Fresh Application button.

Step6: Now login with your application id and password. Your Dashboard will open. Now click on Edit Profile/Application.

Step7: Now fill the complete application form and upload your scanned photograph and signature and then click on the Save & Next option.

Step8: Now you have to upload the following scanned documents.

• Marksheet of last qualifying Exam (both sides).
• Admit Card of last qualifying Exam.

Step2: Now put your previous year's application id and password and log in to the dashboard.

Step3: After successful login, you see your complete details. Check all the details and then click on Apply for Renewal Application for the next step. 

Step4: Now, chose the year and enter the bank account number on which, last year you received the scholarship. Then click on the Renewal Authentication button for verification.

Step5: Enter your current course (Semester) details. Provide the marks, you received on the last final exam of your current course. Convert your CGPA Marks into percentages and then provide them on the application form.

Step6: Upload the required documents.

• Copy of Marksheet of the last exam in the present Course (Both Side).
• In Case of Semester mode – upload 1st & 2nd Semester mark sheet for Second-year renewal, 3rd and 4th Semester mark sheet for Third-year renewal.
• Admission receipt for the promotion to the next higher class.
